 DOROTHY H. CARTER

Dorothy H. Carter, 79, of 210 S. College Ave.,Bluefield, Va., died Sunday at a Roanoke, Va., hospital.
 
Born in Coopers, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Lee Harris and Dora Jane Bell Harris. She was a retired cook for Appalachia Agency for Senior Citizens in Pocahontas, Va., and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pocahontas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Carter, and three sisters and five brothers.

Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Grady (Dorothy) Musick of Bluewell, Mrs. Louis (Eleanor) Goldstein of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Kenneth (Charlotte) Workman of Bluefield, Va.: Brothers, Elbert L. Harris of Warren, Ohio, George B. Harris of Rustburg, Va..: Sisters Lois Fleming of Alhambra, Calif., Edith H Butt of Bramwell; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
 
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va., with the Rev. Don Scott officiating and interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.  
Friends may call at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Bluefield, Va., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior before services.
 
Dorothy died on Sunday May 28, 1989.
