DORA JANE BELL HARRIS
Mrs. Harris was born at Coopers on December 21, 1878, a daughter of the late George and Sarah Bell. Her husband, Elbert Lee Harris, preceded her in death six years ago. Surviving are thirteen children: J. M., J. E., J. F. Harris and Mrs. Irvin Butt all of Coopers. E. L. Harris, Bramwell, S. J. Harris, Flemingsburg, Ky., W. I. Harris, Oakhill, George Harris, Roanoke, Mrs. Charles Carter and Mrs. J. K. Robinett, Pocahontas, Va., Mrs. Ray Moore, Spanishburg, Mrs. Paul Fleming, Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Lyndell Mae Wilburn, Shawsville, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Corner and Mrs. Ruby Henderson, both of Coopers, Mrs. Robert Creasy, Bramwell; and a brother, A. I. Bell of Coopers. Thirty-seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral rites will be conducted from the residence at Coopers Thursday at 2:30 p. m. by the Rev. Mr. Steyer, pastor of the Coopers Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Harrison, pastor of the Bramwell Pilgrim Holiness Church. Interment will be in the Bell Cemetery at Coopers. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will be flowerbearers. The body will be removed from the Pocahontas Union Funeral Home to the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
