Tabor Cemetery article appearing in the Bluefield Daily Telegraph about Aug. 3, 2005 by BILL ARCHER. A few neighbors started the process of clearing the old Mt. Tabor Cemetery this summer (2005). Led by Junior Miller, the group's efforts have made a huge difference. Miller said the cemetery is about 1.5 acres and contains approximately 150 graves. GRAVES DISCOVERED INCLUDE G. W. & Fannie Perdue Common death date of May 29, 1892 John H. Davidson Sarah - May 12, 1865 - June 20, 1906 Charles - Aug. 9, 1864 - June 28. 1903 Miller noted that a small portion at the front of the old cemetery was cleared in recent years, but the larger portion of the cemetery has not been cleared for at least 55 years or longer.
